Promoting agri-food trade between France/EU and Africa, with stronger focus on anglo-phone Africa. With more than a decade of experience working with stakeholders across Africa agri-food, we have gathered thematic exposure and network to facilitate import and export markets between France/EU and Africa by creating market opportunities between agri-food partners on both sides.
We offer agri-food consultancy with focus on French/European Agri-food companies seeking market and establishment/projects in Africa and African agri-food business seeking market/initiatives in France/EU. In addition, this includes promoting partnership and bilateral initiatives, market study, value chain study and reports, project establishment and local integration support among others.
With our specialty coffee produced from Africa, we are opening specialty coffee shops in France to offer specialty coffee produced under fair trade operations investing in farmers and the environment. Our coffee shops are curated with the African experience with Africa unique healthy drinks and menu. We operate responsibly in a way that continually promotes and supports the sustainable production of coffee and improves income for coffee farmers.
In Nigeria, the company has multiple operations in cassava and coffee value chains. In the cassava value chain, JR Farms operates factories that produce 'garri'. In addition to this, JR Farms operates coffee shops across various locations in Lagos and Abuja, and supplies coffee to several restaurants, cafes and hotels across Nigeria. More also, we consult for government and international partners in Nigeria. Some of our partners over the years include Stanbic IBTC Bank/Zest Payment, Union Bank of Nigeria, French Embassy Nigeria/Business France, Bureau Veritas, Bon Hotel, Marriott Nigeria, United Bank of Africa among others.
In Rwanda, we work in the coffee value chain with over 4,000 coffee farmers spread across Rwanda. There, JR Farms process, package and export coffee from Rwanda to various parts of the world. In our coffee value chain operations, we serve several leading hotels, corporate institutions and commercial food chain businesses. Over the years, we have consistently exported coffee to Nigeria, Zambia, United Kingdom, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, United States, The Netherlands and Ghana. Beyond our current export bandwidth, JR Coffee as a product has reached other nations including Qatar, Japan, South Africa, UAE, Canada, Italy, Tunisia, Liberia, Botswana, Senegal and Switzerland respectively.
In Zambia, we operate both in the livestock feed and coffee value chain. On the livestock feed value chain, we operate a commercial livestock feed factory in Chilanga, Lusaka Province of Zambia. The livestock feed factory runs on a climate smart approach to production of livestock feed using cassava peels as the main source of energy for livestock feed formulation. On the coffee operations in Zambia, we supply JR Coffee to different coffee shops and supermarkets, and operate our coffee shops in Lusaka.
In Canada, our focus is to promote agri-food trade between Canada and Africa supporting Canadian companies to find a reliable market in Africa and promoting export of agri-food products from Africa to Canada. Launched in 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda in partnership with Rwanda Farmers’ Coffee Company, JR Coffee popularly known for its specialty coffee roast with a hint of chocolate roasted, packaged and distributed across borders. It is fully arabica beans grown in rich volcanic soil with high altitude in Rwanda, employing thousands of women and rural dwellers across the value chain in a responsible manner.
JR Cakes and Cuisine offers delicious and healthy pastries and edible products, primarily to JR Coffee Shops and corporate/individual clients across different market segments.
Food for Nations is a one stop platform designed to assemble, host, and connect cross-sectoral stakeholders across the agri-food value chain to facilitate food exports and imports.
